Recent changes in regulation, competition and increased interest rate volatility have radically changed the environment for smaller banks. Most operate under intense profitability pressure, and few have options to grow organically. They face tough challenges but cannot justify the high costs, long timelines, and conflicts of interest associated with large consulting firms or investment banks.Sacagawea Peak offers “Capital Management as a Service,” providing smaller banking and other financial institutions with an outsourced, expert-driven approach to measuring and managing capital needs. We help clients optimize capital allocation, maintain regulatory compliance, enhance risk-adjusted performance, and improve strategic decision-making without the overhead of building an in-house team. We support institutions in navigating complex capital regulations (e.g., Basel III), stress testing, liquidity planning, and capital adequacy assessments. Whether assisting with strategic capital planning, optimizing risk-weighted assets, or improving stakeholder communication, Sacagawea Peak can deliver tailored, cost-effective solutions for financial stability, operational efficiency, and long-term growth.

Testimonials

“Glenn was my Chief of Staff for 3 years and proved to have the ideal set of skills for this role: he has a diverse background of technical and investment management skills, a voracious curiosity, good communication abilities, and is a relentless problem solver. He served as my right-hand man for both the investment management company and the Family Office behind it. He helped with strategic planning and implementation, he managed personnel, and filled operational gaps where they arose. He served on the Investment Committee with oversight responsibility and was a key advisor on portfolio strategy. Most of all he could be relied on to speak truth to power: he was not afraid to ask me the hard questions, ones I might not like to hear but which needed to be asked. This is a rare gift which helped me immensely. This above all made him invaluable as my Chief of Staff.Glenn would help improve results and the life of any CEO whom he serves. I would recommend him wholeheartedly to anyone for this role.”

"Our bank faced a critical challenge: despite years of reported profitability, the balance sheet of our business exhibited unexplainable volatility. This created friction with our board, jeopardizing the future of the business, and forcing us to shelve important strategic opportunities. We engaged top-tier investment banks and consultants but none could explain the causes satisfactorily.Glenn worked diligently to identify the root cause of the behaviour and validated his explanation with an analysis of historical portfolio behaviour to establish his findings without doubt. He created tools which allowed us to understand the business better.Glenn’s ability to combine financial intuition, understand complex data, and communicate with clarity was unmatched. He ensured leadership, the board, and stakeholders fully understood the problem and solution. As a result, we can now execute long-term strategic plans that were on hold. The entire engagement was completed in under six months—at a cost lower than a senior analyst—yet delivered immeasurable value. Glenn is a rare combination of expertise, strategic thinking, and execution. Our management is grateful for his help."
